Press Play Again, by Inuvera Ltd

Terms of use

Effective 12 October 2026

These are the terms for using Press Play Again on iPhone, iPad and Android: the app, its subscription and its community. By using the app you agree to them.

In short. You bring your own games and system files, and must have the right to use them. Playing is free within limits; a monthly subscription opens the rest and renews until you cancel it in your app store. The community has rules, and we remove what breaks them.

1. Who we are

Press Play Again is provided by Inuvera Ltd ("we", "us"). You can reach us at support@inuvera.com. How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy.

2. The app, and the files you add

Press Play Again runs software written for home computers of the 1980s. It comes with no games and no computer system software, and it does not download or link to any. You add your own.

  • You must own, or have permission to use, every game and system file you add. You are responsible for them.
  • Your games, system files and saves stay on your device. We don't receive them.
  • Not every file will work. Support varies by computer and by file type, and old software can misbehave.
  • We licence the app to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy it, resell it, or take it apart except where the law allows.

3. Accounts

You don't need an account to play. You need one to subscribe and to use the community. You sign in with an email address and a code we send to it, so keep that mailbox to yourself: whoever can read it can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings, Account. Deleting it does not cancel a subscription.

4. Free use and the subscription

Without a subscription you can play three games of your choice on each computer, with joysticks and saves. The subscription opens every game on your shelf, games on disk, each computer's printer, and the community.

  • Price and payment. The price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is taken by Apple or Google through your app store account, not by us.
  • Renewal. The subscription lasts one month and renews each month at the price then current until you cancel it.
  • Cancelling. Cancel at any time in your app store's subscription settings. What you've paid for stays open until the end of the month it covers. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
  • Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. Any rights you have by law are unaffected.
  • Your account. A subscription belongs to the account it was bought on, and opens the app wherever you sign in with that account. One purchase opens one account.
  • Changes. We may change what's free, what's in the subscription, or its price. A price change is notified to you by your app store before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you don't accept it.

5. The community

The community is for subscribers: a room for each computer, and private chats, where people share messages, screenshots and printouts. It is not directed at children. Before taking part you choose a name and agree to these rules:

  • Be kind. No abuse, harassment or hate.
  • Share only what's yours to share: your own screenshots and printouts.
  • Don't post or ask for copyrighted games or system software, or links to them.
  • Nothing sexual, violent or illegal, and no spam or advertising.
  • Keep personal details, yours and other people's, to yourself.

You can report any message and block any person: press and hold a message. We look at reports within a day and take down what breaks the rules. A message reported by several people may be hidden straight away while we look.

Private chats are private from other members, but they are stored on our server, are not end-to-end encrypted, and can be reviewed by us when a message is reported or when the law requires.

6. What you post

What you post remains yours. By posting it you give us permission to store it and show it to the members of the room or chat you post it in, for as long as it stays there. Messages are removed automatically after 90 days. You must have the right to post what you post.

7. What we may do

To keep the community safe and within the law, we may remove anything posted in it, and may suspend or ban from the community an account that breaks these terms. A ban from the community does not stop you playing, and does not by itself cancel a subscription: cancel that in your app store. For a serious breach we may close an account altogether.

8. Copyright complaints

If you believe something in the community infringes your copyright, email support@inuvera.com with what the work is, where in the community it appears, and how to reach you. We'll remove what infringes, and may ban people who post such things repeatedly.

9. Names and trade marks

The names of the computers the app recreates, and of the companies that made them, belong to their owners. Press Play Again is not connected with or endorsed by any of them.

10. What we promise, and what we don't

We'll provide the app and its services with reasonable care and skill. But the app runs decades-old software that we didn't write, on many kinds of phone and tablet, so we can't promise that every game will work, that the community will always be available, or that saves will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you.

We aren't responsible for what other people post in the community, or for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for losses to a business: the app is for personal use.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit, and nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change matters to you as a subscriber, we'll say so in the app or by email before it takes effect.

12. Ending

You can stop using the app at any time, and delete your account as described above. These terms end when you do, except for the parts that by their nature carry on.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom or in another country, you keep any protection the consumer law of your home gives you, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.

14. Apple and Google

These terms are between you and Inuvera Ltd, not Apple or Google, who are not responsible for the app or its content. Your use of the app must also follow your app store's own terms. On Apple devices, Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.
